Online fax is now widely available on the Internet, and there are many different providers offering these services.  It is important that you research each online fax plan carefully to ensure that it is suitable for both your faxing needs and budget, as there can be many limitations and hidden charges to online faxing.

Account Limitations

Online fax providers are not really suitable for those businesses that send a large amount of faxes, because most of the plans available have limits on exactly how many faxes you can send and receive each month.  This industry standard is around 100 –300 sent pages and 100-500 received pages per month, but there are one or two providers who have plans that allow up to 1,000 sent/received pages per month, which should cover the majority of fax use.  However if you are consistently sending and receiving over 600 faxes every month then a traditional fax machine set up will probably be a much suitable to your needs.
